Exciting News!!!
Well, I am officially creating delicious desserts for Old York Country Club! Last night was my first event and even though I was so nervous I had so much fun!
Thursday was the beginning of it all. I walked into the huge "professional" kitchen and immediately froze... was I really here to make desserts! The day didn't go as smoothly as planned, the kitchen was huge, they don't use pot holders!!! Who doesn't use pot holders to take hot pans out of a 400 degree oven! Chefs, that's who. Well, after 10 hours of standing on my feet, running around a kitchen burning my fingers trying to take trays out of the ovens with thin towels and burning my body with hot water trying to clean cupcake tins, my desserts came out awesome! Check them out!

Desserts!!!
I had the pleasure of meeting the head chef of Old York Country Club during a baby shower in February. When the wait staff brought the cake into the kitchen the chef asked to speak to me. Imagine my surprise when he asked to meet with me and my samples later on the following week!!!! After our initial tasting, he asked me to make brochures and put together a cake photo book for the special events that are held at the club!!! As if that wasn't enough to make my year, he also asked if I would be willing to work 1 day a week making the desserts for the restaurant!!!! I almost fell out of my seat! We talked about the type of desserts he is looking for and when he would like me to start.
I just can't believe that a short 6 months ago starting a business was just an idea. I honestly didn't think anyone would even look at my cakes let alone buy them! I'm still in shock!
Here are the desserts that will be served in the restaurant starting in the Spring!!!

Sesame Street Birthday Party!
Happy Birthday to my beautiful little girl! My daughter loves Sesame Street, so naturally we had to have a Sesame Street birthday party! Unfortunately she was sick the day of the party and didn't get to enjoy the day. Here are some pictures... and of course her cake!!!

Happy Birthday Izzy! She loves Yo Gabba Gabba!!!
This Giants cake was a last minute cake I threw together as a surprise for my husband. His birthday always either falls on Super Bowl Sunday or is right after, so we always celebrate with a couple of friends. This year our daughter has been sick, but I wanted to keep the tradition alive. Especially since we are hardcore Giant's fans!!!!
